About our school
Beverford District Primary School currently has 34 students. Predominantly students are drawn from the Swan Hill, Vinifera, Woorinen North, Tyntynder, Murraydale, Speewa, Nyah district and Beverford areas, the majority of which are bussed in each day.
The school buildings have undergone extensive refurbishment under the BER program. The main school building consists of 3 classrooms, a lounge room and another flexible learning area. The main building has excellent refrigerated air conditioning. A double classroom, from a nearby closed school, has been relocated adjacent to the main school building giving the school community access to a multi-purpose room which has a recently installed new kitchen. This area is also used extensively for classroom and school cooking as well as art, science and PE lessons. Each classroom and the lounge room have interactive white boards and each student from grade 1 to 6 has their own laptop.
The 2.5 hectare grounds provide an attractive and appealing environment, complete with ample shade areas, full-sized covered hard court and adventure playground
equipment covered with shade sails.
Our School believes that students learn best when actively engaged in learning tasks within a happy, safe, positive and supportive environment. Within this environment, students are expected to develop decision-making skills, a sense of responsibility, self-discipline, the ability to work co-operatively with others, to take pride in their school and their work, to value achievement, and to show respect for all.
